In 2018 we bought this place combined with the bigger house next door called Casa Madera from a nice old Belgium man who owned the building since the 60’s.
He completely rebuild the place about 20 years ago in a strong Belgium quality way with a lot of concrete combined with nice wooden ceiling and furniture.
As this house is so tiny we thought it might be a good place to use it as a welcome spot for our guests hence the name Casa Bienvenida.

This beautiful apartment located in the city center has a very special story. We bought it from a Dutch guy, he won the lottery in Holland and with that money he bought this house on Ibiza. Unfortunately due to personal reasons he had to rent out his home leaving him with no place to stay. He wanted to sell his house but nobody took him serious and did not believe that he was actually the owner of a house. Also his tenants were not too happy to have visitors in their place and were a bit offensive towards them. The owner heard about Van Maaren buying houses in Sa Penya and came to look for us. He finally found Bernardus and for the first time he found someone who believed his story. As we were not focused on buying in the city center at first we were a bit hesitant but at the end we could conclude a deal and bought the house in 2017. We made it our responsibility to help the owner with all the paperwork, he had a lot of payments overdue and his tenants did not want to leave the apartment. Finally after some struggle we were able to provide them with an alternative place for the time being and the previous owner re-invested his money with Van Maaren and is still one of our trusted and respected investor. We video documented this deal from A – Z. When our master piece of art is completed we will bring out the footage concerning this deal.

We came in contact with the owner from Mallorca when he wanted to buy the place we bought next door (Casa Ruina), eventually we turned the deal around and bought his house 1 year before the real estate value started to rise in this specific area. This spacious 90m2 (+ terrace) house we bought together with Casa Bienvenida.
It’s one of the houses we have rented out from 2019 until end 2021 to construction workers who work on the townhall project to rebuild Calle Alta and Calle Retiro.
They are rebuilding 11 nice and good constructed houses out of the 44 mainly abandoned houses which were there before.

This studio with amazing views from the terrace is small but very practical. We bought this place in 2016 from a Frenchman who was working from home and enjoying his Ibiza life. He decided to buy a different place in Dalt Vila. As he was earning money from this place we decided to call it “Casa Pasta.” Unfortunately he passed away a year later and never got the chance to enjoy his new place in Dalt Vila.
